This Privacy Policy explains how information about you is collected, used and disclosed by Andrew Cuomo for New York, Inc. (referred to in this Privacy Policy as “AC4NY,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect when you use our website located at www.andrewcuomo.com and any other AC4NY websites and online services that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the "Site").

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will notify you by revising the date at the top of the policy and, in some cases, if we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we may provide you with additional notice (such as adding a statement to our homepage or sending you an email notification) in advance of the effective date of the applicable changes.       We collect information you provide directly to us. For example, we collect information when you fill out a form, make a donation, send us an email, sign up to receive updates, request information, sign a petition, sign up as a volunteer, communicate with us via third party social media sites, or otherwise communicate with us. The types of information we collect may include your name, address, phone number, email address, mobile number, credit card information, and other contact or identifying information you choose to provide.

      In addition, the New York State Board of Elections may require us to collect certain personal information from donors.

  3. How We Share the Information We Collect Through the Site

    We may share information about you as follows or as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy:

    1. Third Party Vendors and Service Providers. We may share your information with vendors, consultants and other service providers or volunteers who need access to the applicable information to carry out work on our behalf.
    2. Promotion of the Campaign’s Political Objectives and Compliance with Legal Requirements. We may share your information with (i) candidates, organizations, campaigns, groups or causes that we believe have similar political viewpoints, principles or objectives or share similar goals and with organizations that facilitate communications and information sharing among these groups; (ii) other participants in a joint fundraising committee; and (iii) to report required information to the New York State Board of Elections.
    3. Response to Subpoenas or Court Orders or to Protect Rights and to Comply with Our Policies. To the extent permitted by law, we will disclose your information to government authorities or third parties if: (i) required to do so by law, or in response to a subpoena or court order; (ii) we believe in our sole discretion that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect against fraud, to protect the property or other rights of us or other users, third parties or the public at large; or (iii) we believe that you have abused the Site by using it to attack other systems or to gain unauthorized access to any other system, to engage in spamming or otherwise to violate applicable laws. You should be aware that, following disclosure to any third party, your information may be accessible by others to the extent permitted or required by applicable law.

We do not have access to or control over these third parties or the cookies, web beacons or other technology that these third parties may use.   5. Information You Provide When You Make a Donation through the Site

    We use a third party service provider NGP VAN to process the payment of donations through the Site, and any data collection and processing activity in connection with information submit when you made a donation through the Site is described in and subject to NGP VAN’s Privacy Policy located at https://www.ngpvan.com/content/privacy-policy.

  6. Social Sharing Features

    The Site may offer social sharing features and other integrated tools (such as the Facebook "Like" button). The use of these features enables the sharing of information with your friends or the public, depending on the settings you establish with the entity that provides the social sharing feature.   7. Online Petitions

    If you sign an online petition, you understand that the applicable petition is public information and that we may make the petition, and your name, city, state, and any comments provided in connection therewith publicly available. In addition, we may provide these petitions or compilations of petitions, including your comments, name, city, and state to national, state or local leaders, or to the press.

  8. Advertising and Analytics Services Provided by Third Parties

    We may allow third parties to serve advertisements on our behalf across the Internet and to provide analytics services. These entities may use cookies, web beacons and other technologies to collect information about your use of the Site and other websites, including your IP address, web browser, pages viewed, time spent on pages, links clicked and conversion information. This information may be used by AC4NY and others to, among other things, analyze and track data, determine the popularity of certain content, deliver advertising and content targeted to your interests on our Site and other websites and better understand your online activity.

    AC4NY takes reasonable measures to help protect information about you from loss, theft, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction.

    At this time, the Site is only intended to be available to residents of the United States of America and it is not intended to be directed to anyone residing outside of the United States of America. If this current limitation changes, we expect that the Privacy Policy available to non-U.S. residents will reflect the laws and regulations of the territories where the Site is intentionally made available.

    The Site is not intended for children under age 13, or for anyone under age 18 or the applicable age of majority without involvement of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect or distribute personal information from or about children under the age of 13.
