Governor Cuomo Receives Endorsement of the Sephardic Community Federation

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, candidate for Mayor of New York City, today received the endorsement of the Sephardic Community Federation. The organization is the government relations and public policy organization of the Sephardic Jewish community, serving the cultural, social, and political needs of the community.

The Sephardic Community Federation joins the Far Rockaway Jewish Alliance, the Bobov community in Borough Park, and Crown Jewish United and the Crown Heights PAC, in backing Cuomo’s mayoral bid.

“I am proud to receive the endorsement of the Sephardic Community Federation as we enter the final stretch of this campaign to save our city,” Governor Cuomo said. “With so much at stake for the Jewish community in this election, antisemitism and public safety are literally on the ballot. We’ve seen the scourge of antisemitism continue to rise with the irresponsible rhetoric from politicians and those fanning the flames of hate. We don’t need more lip service or public statements – we need results, we need action, and we need it now. As Governor, I led the most aggressive actions to safeguard our synagogues and yeshivas with more security funding and led the effort to sign the first in the nation anti-BDS law to stamp out hate.  As Mayor, I’ll bring that same relentless focus to City Hall so that Jewish communities are protected and can live safely in our city.”
