“Andrew Cuomo tonight showed an unparalleled command of the issues and articulated his plans to hire 5,000 cops to protect public safety, build 500,000 units of housing to drive down costs, keep mayoral control and strengthen our education system and tackle the virus of antisemitism.
"What we saw tonight in Zohran Mamdani was a dangerous unprepared politician with slogans, but no real plans, no real solutions, no answers on how to get them done – and no answers period on the most basic questions.
"As a matter of fact in his five years in Albany, he never proposed, less alone passed, any bills on child care, housing, education, or any other issue that he now pretends to care about.
"Hands down, Andrew Cuomo was the only candidate on this stage tonight that showed he is ready to govern on Day One."
