New York, NY — The Andrew Cuomo for Mayor campaign today released its second television advertisement of the general election, titled “Proven Leadership,” featuring real New Yorkers expressing their support for Andrew Cuomo’s proven leadership and experience to move New York City in a new direction.
In the spot, everyday New Yorkers speak candidly about why they trust Cuomo to tackle the city’s toughest problems. One voter remarks, “You may not always agree with Andrew Cuomo, but you’ve got to admit he knows what he’s doing.” Another adds, “He’d kick anybody’s a** standing in the way,”* a line that reflects Cuomo’s reputation for taking on bureaucrats and special interests to get results for the people of New York.
Speaking directly to camera, Cuomo says:
“One of the things I love about New Yorkers is that you always know what’s on their minds. Here’s what’s on my mind: hiring 5,000 new cops, getting the homeless off the streets, and building 50,000 affordable homes.”
The ad closes with New Yorkers affirming, “Cuomo can deliver,” and “We need a mayor that’s tough enough for the job.” It concludes with the tagline “Ready on Day One,” underscoring Cuomo’s focus on leadership, results, and action from the moment he takes office.
“Proven Leadership” will run widely across New York City on broadcast, cable, streaming, and digital platforms as part of a high six-figure media buy.
