Watch it Here

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, candidate for Mayor of New York City, released his third ad of the 2025 race today, ‘Rise.’ The ad addresses the personal pain and financial hardship that is plaguing New Yorkers who are contending with an affordability crisis.

In the ad, Cuomo speaks directly to camera about his bold plan to lower the prices of homes by building 500,000 new ones and putting money in people’s pockets by raising the minimum wage to $20 per hour. Cuomo also speaks to his experience as federal Housing Secretary during the Clinton Administration and as Governor, highlighting his notable accomplishments that include raising the minimum wage and building a new LaGuardia Airport, Moynihan Train Hall, and Mario M. Cuomo Bridge.

It will run as part of a six-figure multi-layered, multi-platform buy across streaming TV, along with digital channels including YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.

“The city has an affordability crisis and Andrew Cuomo has a plan and a proven track record of experience necessary to address it,” Cuomo for NYC Campaign Chairman Bill Mulrow said. “From raising the minimum wage to building new airports, new subways and new bridges, Cuomo has shown that experience counts. This city needs a manager and when Cuomo is elected Mayor, he will implement a bold plan that will actually make this city more affordable for all New Yorkers.”

A script of the ad is below:

New York City has an affordability crisis but we will rise.

The minimum wage will rise. I raised it to the highest in the nation as Governor, I’ll do it here.

500,000 new affordable homes will rise.

I did it as the nation’s Housing Secretary, we can do it here.

We built new bridges, train stations and airports, and got through Covid together because there’s a simple solution to a crisis: You act.

So let’s rise - together.
