Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, candidate for Mayor of New York City, today proudly received the key endorsement of 10 prominent Asian American and Pacific Islander, Black, and Caribbean clergy members who represent the diverse communities of New York City. These faith leaders add to the 68 clergy endorsements that Governor Cuomo has received in his bid for Mayor of New York City.

“For our congregants, government is not an academic exercise of ideology—we need a government that can actually deliver. As faith leaders across New York City, we stand united: in this time of crisis, Andrew Cuomo is the only candidate in this race who has the vision, drive, and decades-long track record of delivering real results for our communities,” the prominent faith leaders said. “Throughout his career, he has demonstrated unwavering leadership—whether guiding our state through COVID, prioritizing and delivering for marginalized communities, or taking on Trump, he speaks when others stay silent, and acts when others fail to deliver. We know him, we trust him, and we believe his steady hand and bold vision are exactly what New York City needs today. We proudly endorse Andrew Cuomo for mayor, confident that he will lead with integrity, strength, and compassion, and that he will deliver.”

“I am deeply honored to receive the endorsement of these respected faith leaders who represent the heart and soul of communities across New York City,” Governor Cuomo said. “Through every challenge, they have been a source of strength and hope for so many. These faith leaders reflect the best of our city, spending every day fighting for our most vulnerable and providing guidance, services, and hope within their communities. I am proud to stand with them, and together, with faith and determination, we will move New York City forward.”

This clergy endorsement comes on the day of Governor Cuomo’s visit to Salem Missionary Baptist Church and Bethesda Healing Center in Brooklyn.
