Following the inauguration on January 1, 2011, New Yorkers are welcome to meet the Governor, Lieutenant Governor and their families at the Executive Mansion. RSVPs are required and space is limited. In the event that the number of requests exceeds the number of available openings, attendees will be randomly selected by lottery. Registration ends December 23rd at 11:59pm.
The Executive Mansion Open House will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on January 1, 2011. Registrants will be notified of their selection via email or phone on or before December 30 and receive a ticket at that time.
All adults over the age of 16 wishing to attend must have a ticket. Each individual receiving a ticket will be allowed to bring any children from their household. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Guests are reminded that weapons and controlled substances as well as bags, backpacks, luggage, parcels, briefcases, and like articles will be strictly prohibited from the event sites. Photography and videography devices will not be allowed on the premises. Guests with prohibited articles will be turned away at the entrances and no storage or "check-in area" will be provided for such items.
